Jens Leysen is an FWO-funded PhD researcher at the University of Antwerp, supervised by Prof. Dr. Bart Goethals. His research focuses on machine learning and responsible AI.
His work spans diverse subjects within the field, including the negative effects of personalization (e.g., filter bubbles), data minimization, and machine unlearning.
Before his PhD, Jens obtained Master's degrees in Computer Science and Electronics Engineering Technology. He is currently also enrolled in a Master in Management program.
